just a day (OPEN)

[Rose]

It couldn't be... this was just some silly fantasy her mind was cooking up to avoid facing the truth. But he looked so much, even his voice stirred memories in the young archer. But he knew her name, this couldn't be coincidence, could it?

"Its silly, but your just remind me of some I lost a long time ago," she said sadly. "M-my boyfriend ryan," she said in an almost whisper.

[Fright]

"There is a reason for that, dearest." He said is a smooth, quiet voice. "What if I told you that I, Frightful Night, the Pariah of Nightmares, WAS Ryan Grierhart. That this is the result of my first meeting with Xedrrik. The Ryan you knew is not dead. Just different."

[Rose]

It was to good be true, it was all to perfect. Nothing this great ever happened to her. It just didn't. Her mouth fell agape for a moment before it settled into a brilliant smile. Reaching up she touched his face gently and moved a strand of hair from his face.

"It is you!" she exclaimed, he was different. But still the same. He was her Ryan. She didn't know what to do. It had been so long, but she knew she had to help him.

"That bastard, he was the one who attacked me right?"

[Fright]

"Yes. Xedrrik. Number II in that group of dogs, Organization XIII." Fright explained, walking away and motioning her to follow. "Just like it seems, I went out for my walk that day, just as normal. When I was out of range of the city, he jumped me. There was a fight, of course. However, that no good slime cheated. He ripped out the very essence of my heart and took off. That should have killed me. Sadly now I am like them. An emotionless shell, longing to be whole. However, my kind are different. We retain one aspect of our Somebody and can only feel emotion based around that aspect... As my aspect is my own nightmares, I couldn't bare to face you. Not then. I left, letting you all believe I was dead so I could plot my revenge. One day, I will become whole again. I WILL return home to you, Rose. I promise. I just need a little more time."

[Rose]

She followed him closely and stared almost soulessly as if even blinking would make him dissapear. And she couldn't bare to lose him again, not when she'd only just found him.
"Thats awful, I wish, I wish I could help but how?" she said sadly. Still following his form.

"So your just going to leave me again." scoffed Rose in disbelief. "I could help you. I'm not weak, just give me someway to help." said Rose with a curt nod.

[Fright]

Fright turned back to her and smiled. "No my Rose, I know you aren't weak. I just don't want you hurt. However, it's not like I could actually stop you if you wanted to help." Fright projected Ryan's personality well, even if he actually couldn't feel anything but fear.

[Rose]

A tiny smile flickered across Rose's face, but still she knew she couldn't be a complete burden. She knew how to use a bow and arrow but that wasn't enough to fight super strong nobodies or heartless with. If she accompanied him, then she'd only slow him down, and she couldn't do that. She knew what Ryan was like, once he had his mind set on something there was almost no stopping him. She didn't want to get in the way of that...

"I guess so, and I don't want to be a burden..." she said slowly as she continue to think it through. "-but I still want to help you." said Rose with a look of complete determination "even if it isn't fighting by your side."

[Fright]

"I know. And I appreciate it, love." Fright said, a bright smile on his face. "I'm not sure how you could help, but I know you will find a way."

After a bit of walking, he stopped, turning to her. "While I am on my little vacation, how about I take you out somewhere? We haven't be out together in a good long while."

[Rose]

"I'll think on it," she said with a lithe smile. It was odd smiling this much, she hadn't smiled since she'd lost them all. But now, everything just seemed so much brighter! Even if she hadn't found her brother. She took another look at him and smirked.

"With that eye patch one would certainly mistake you for a pirate," she teased smiling softly to show she was joking, "but I think I'll permit one date. Where do you have in mind, I've never been here before."

[Fright]

Fright nodded and held out his arm, hoping she would take his arm. "Where then shall we go?"

[Rose]

Taking his arm gently, Rose smiled.
"Well I havent really seen much of this place, I've only really got here. Why don't we explore?" she offered helpfully.

[Fright]

"Exploring it is then." He said before leading her off, talking and pointing things out along the way.

[Rose]

Rose smiled and took his hand gently, god she was happy to see Ryan again. Even if it wasn't fully him, it didn't matter because it was still a part of him. And she loved him. No matter what. As the day drew on and they continued on night began to fall across the town and the two of them sat on the rightly named sunset hill as they watched the reddening sun fall into slumber.

"So, I guess you have to go soon huh?" said Rose sadly as she rested her head on his shoulder. Her brown eyes stared softly into his as she let her gaze drop. She didn't want him to leave again, but she knew she had to. He needed to help himself and she couldn't stop him.
"Promise me you'll come back to me." she lacing her fingers with his. "Promise me you'll come back safe."

[Fright]

Fright nodded and turned to her, a portal opening up behind him. "Unfortunately yes, I must go. I WILL return to you Rose. I promise." With that, he released her hand and stepped back, vanishing into the portal.
