Xasantham remained paralyzed for a moment, her eyes wide. The nightmares were horrible enough to threaten anyone's sanity. Finally she regained control of herself. "How do you deal with all of that?" she asked, concerned for him.

"Because, if you think about it, I've dealt with it all my life. It only amplified when Xedrrik took my heart." Fright said, shrugging it off like it was nothing. "For a while though, I reacted to it much like you just did."

The more Xasantham thought about it, the more it began to make sense. It explained Ryan's behavior before. "So... you just got used to it?" That's actually kind of sad... he must have been dealing with this for ages... she thought to herself.

"Yes. I got used to it as one might get used to cold weather." He said sadly. "I learned to bear the torment with a big-ass smile. In the end, I guess it made me stronger."
