"Just come here." She said with a light chuckle as she pulled up a stool. "Sit here. Don't sit so straight it's uncomfortable, but don't slouch either. Just sit comfortably."

He stood up and moved over to the stool and did as she said, sitting sort of relaxed.

As soon as she was sure he was comfortable, she started at his shoulders and worked her way to his lower back, thoroughly massaging every muscle. Her grip was gentle enough not to make it hurt bad, but firm enough to make it hurt good and get the job done. It took her a little while, but she was finally sure she got every muscle to relax the way it should. No tensing up, not cramping, nothing. "How does it feel now?" She ask, returning her hands to her side.

He could only mutter a couple of sounds of complete euphoria. He hadn't felt this good since he was a young kid. He moved his body around a couple of times, noticing that his range of movement had increased drastically. He turned around and looked at her. "Thank you so much."

"No problem. Consider that an apology for letting you drink so much coffee." She said with a warm, acomplished smile. It made her feel great that she was able to take at least some pain away, even if she couldn't take it all.

"No need to apologize, it was my fault for downing it, despite your warnings. But hey, if that's how you're gonna apologize, I'm not going to complain." he joked as he retook his seat at the table and drank another cup, this time much slower than the last few.

She laughed at his joke before returning to her potatoes.
It didn't take much longer after that for her to finish them up and sit the pot on the table. She went to the cabinet and retrieved a couple of small bowls and two spoons before returning to Ray. "Dig in. Hope they are as good as they usually are."

He took his spoon and scooped up the mashed root. He took a bite and almost cried as he put the spoon back down.

Alex, who inhaled her first bowl, was just fixing to get another when she looked up at Ray. "You alright, Ray?" She asked curiously.

"Hey man. Don't worry about it." She said with a warm smile. "I'll save you some for later. Promise." With that she got her a second bowl, finished it, and then started cleaning up. She put the left over mashed potatoes in a container and stuck them in the fridge. "See, that container is for you."

He smiled at her. He still wasn't used to how nice she was being. "Thank you." He then noticed that she was starting to clean up. "Would you like some help?"

"Nah I got it. It'll give me a little time to let the food set before I need to go work out." She said with a bit of a chuckle. "I wouldn't let you help anyway. Though I've told you you can live here, I still regard you as a guest. I don't let guests clean."
