The Start of Something [Ray Cozart]

"Yeah, plus, I kind of like my heart, I've had it all my life and I plan on keeping it that way." he smiled as he tried to take a step towards her. However, he tripped on his own feet and fell into her, making their lips touch in basically a forced kiss.

[Alex Faith]

The sudden, unexpected kiss startled Alex, causing her to lose her balance and fall backwards.

With his momentum already forcing him downward combined with her loss of balance, caused Ray to basically fall on top of her, them landing in an awkward, non-Christian kind of position. With a deep red blush darker than his own hair, Ray managed to stammer out, "S-sorry, I-i'm going to g-get up now." He pushed himself back up to his own feet and scurried a few yards away.

Alex, who (because of past unpleasent experience) tensed up when he fell on her, just simply nodded. Once he got up, she sat up, putting her back to the wall and bringing her knees close. "That was interesting." She said, a slight chuckle in her voice.

"Y-yeah..." he murmured as he looked away from her. He turned back to her and said, "I-i never guessed that my first kiss would turn out like that." He chuckled softly.

"Yeah. Same here." She replied, looking up at him and smiling. Though she was outwardly calm, her mind and heart were still racing. The memories were painful, but there was something else that she just couldn't tell what was.

"Whaaaaaaaaaat?! No way, I can't believe that!" he almost shouted in surprise. "Jeez, I was sure you would of at least had a couple boyfriends by now."

[Alex Faith]

Alex looked a little bit uncomfortable when he said that. "Nah... I've had... some bad experiences with guys. I usually attack them on site..."

He chuckled uncomfortably when she said that. "I guess you didn't attack me because I was already hurt when we met?" He took a few steps back, hoping not to be attacked from bringing up bad memories.

[Alex Faith]

"Yeah, no. I honestly don't know why I didn't try to kill you." She laughed, then her smile faded. "No, I was gang raped no less than 6 months after losing my parents. That kind of ruins male interactions for a girl..."

"Wow, that sucks, to say the least." he chuckled uncomfortably. Then, meaning to be to himself, "I feel really bad now."

[Alex Faith]

"Hey, not your fault." Alex said, tone serious, but not harsh. Her voice was softer than it had been in a while. "Don't feel bad for falling. It's alright." As she told him these things, she too had to ponder why. Why had she attacked him? Why did she feel like she could trust him so much with everything. Wasn't he just like the others? Or was he actually the one that would teach her trust again?

Ray's smile returned before he looked at his feet and jokingly shouted, "Stupid feet! Why do you have to trip over yourselves?" No sooner had he tried to take another step, did he trip and land, yet again, face first in the floor. He mumbled a muffled "ow" before picking himself back up.

Alex couldn't help but chuckle. "Looks like they don't like to be questioned." The brunette chuckled, getting up and offering a hand to her friend.

He took it with a snicker himself, bringing him back to his feet. "It is actually pretty shocking that someone as attractive as you has been single this long." His gaze fell to meet hers, not realizing that he still had her hand in his.
