Alex simply stared at the black screen before her. Sure, she could watch something, but she was busy thinking. Thinking about how stupid the decision she just made could turn out to be. For all she knew, this guy could be a criminal just wanting to get some, and she just agreed to travel with him. Still though, he didn't seem malicious, unlike the other men she had encountered. In-fact, he was actually really interesting. Damn it, Alex. Lighten up. Don't judge a book by it's cover. she tried to tell herself. Don't screw up your one chance to have a friend capable of focusing more than 5 seconds... Finally she got up and went to the kitchen. She could start being nicer by making him dinner, it was that time after all.

Ray finally came down from the bathroom and was instantly entranced by the wonderful aromas emanating from the kitchen. He followed his nose to the room where the cooking was taking place and was just about to comment on how amazing everything smelled, that is, until his stomach growled, very loudly. "Oh thanks stomach, you blew my cover!"

Alex only laughed at his theatrics. She couldn't take her eye away from her stir fry, otherwise, she might have looked. "You can go a head a sit, This will be done in a sec." She said, in one of her softer, more friendly tones. "Oh and help yourself to drinks, all the drinks are in the third fridge from the back window."

"There's more tha..." he trailed off as he turned to see the row of fridges. He looked for the back window, and eventually spotted it. He pointed to each fridge as he counted them and headed over to the one she mentioned. He opened the door and his jaw hit the floor. Her refrigerator was stuffed to the brim with all kinds of canned and bottled drinks. "So. Many. Choices." his head began to spin with all the choices. "I-i think I'll just have a glass of water." he finally decided while holding his head.

While still masterfully tending to the stir fry, Alex reached up in the cabinet and grabbed a glass. "Catch." She said, pitching the glass to him and returning her full attention to the stir fry. "You can either get the purified water, or water straight from the tap. Purified is in the same fridge you were just in."

He barely caught the glass, juggling it around as he tried to get a good grip. "Cool." he walked over to the tap and fill the glass about 9/10 of the way full and sipped it down to 3/4. He sat the glass on the table and simply stood there, looking around at everything.

In a short time, the stir fry was completed and she carried the hot pan over to the table, with nothing to stop it from burning her hand. She had been so focused on the cooking and getting it out that she, yet again, forgot to protect her hands. She set it down genially and immediately jerked her hand back. "Damn it!I need to stop doing that!" She cursed, looking at her hand. The burns were obvious, that pan was hotter than what she usually carried. With another string of quiet curses, she pressed her hand up to her shirt continued about her business. Gathering plates and silverware and setting the table. Finally with her burned hand still against her tank top, she motioned for him to sit. "Guests first."

"Y'know, it would of been smarter to get something like a pan holder." he feigned a smile. He wasn't a big fan of stir fry. But, he hadn't eaten for the better part of the week. The hunger was the main reason that he didn't notice the dark creatures attack him. Plus his inability to summon his may weapon, only the Kingdom Key. He took some of the meal onto his plate. "Would you like for me to heal that for you?"

"Nah it'll be fine after it stops hurting. Oh and there are still brownies fro desert." She explain, finally sitting down. "Now." She began again, getting a good sized portion of food on her plate. "Where were you intending on heading next?"

He stopped eating for a moment and thought about it. "Y'know, I never really had a plan to begin with. I just hitched rides to places that I heard needed help with that black creatures." He began to feel dizzy, he was eating too fast, but he didn't want to slow down so he wouldn't offend his hostess.

"Well, after you get some rest and enough food, maybe we can talk about those black creatures. You look a bit undernourished, I just didn't want to say anything." She said, quickly finishing off her plate and getting up. "Don't rush, I'll be right back" With that she disappeared.
Soon, she returned and sat back down. "There. Now you have a place to sleep if you decide you would like to rest before we go anywhere. " She said, a slight smile on her face.

"What, did you make a pallet for me or something?" he asked as he tried to keep the food down. He began to feel sick, as well as discover something very important. Never eat something you don't like on a very, very empty stomach. He had to push the plate, which had about half of its contents still on it, away so he wouldn't keep eating.

Alex gave him an odd look, then chuckled. "Right, I didn't even ask if you liked stir fry. If you'd rather, there is sandwich stuff. And no. In a house like this and you think I made you a pallet. I just put clean sheets on the bed in the room I designated yours. "

"Dude, I have my own bed?!" he asked in shocked surprise. "I've never had my own bed! Oh, and no, I haven't eaten in a while, I'm just trying to not make myself sick. Can't afford either, I suppose." He shrugged during the last part.

"Well, you can ask my only other friend, as long as you are my friend, you will have munny. Just please don't be like her and not accept most of it.... It really REALLY bothers me when Kaylee does that." Alex growled. Then she relaxed. "Anyway, your room is the one I just got the new king sized bed for. It should be rather comfortable. If you'd like you can go test it out while I clean up. Its the room directly in front of the staircase on the second floor. I think you'll like it. It's the second biggest room in the mansion. Or would you rather me walk up there with you?"
