Zack blinked. "How long has that been hiding back there?!" he yelled. He ran toward the tailbunker, but was slowed down as he started fighting his way through the neoshadows.

Kaylee didn't answer. Instead she started slashing through the Neoshadows, trying to clear a path. However, the Tailbunker had other plans. It flew down and picked Kaylee up beforr returning to the sky. Kaylee fought hard against is, an eventually it dropped her. Sadly, it did just that, dropped her from where it was

Zack watched as the tailbunker flew past him and pick up Kaylee. "Hey!" he yelled as he chased after it. He sprinted faster when he saw the tailbunker drop Kaylee, eventually having to leap forward through the air to attempt to catch her.

Zack barely missed catching her and she plummeted into the water. That was a softer landing than it could have been. Everything was great, except Kaylee couldn't swim. That became apparent when she surfaced for have a second with a look of sheer terror on her face. When the water drug her under again, it kept her.

Zack found himself plunging into the water after missing Kaylee. He resurfaced and looked around wildly for any sign of Kaylee. He got a glimpse of her just as she was pulled under. Oh no. She must not be able to swim. he thought, quickly swimming over to the spot and diving. As Kaylee came into view, he reached out to grab her hand.

Kaylee flailed wildly but caught a glimpse of Zack's hand and grabbed it, hopping that he would rescue her. Overhead, she could see the Tailbunker flying away.

Zack took Kaylee's hand and swam with all his might to get to the surface. When they finally did resurface, Zack looked around, trying to find the tailbunker, but it was long gone. "Where did it go?" he asked, mainly to himself.

"I-I don't know. C-can we get out of the water. Please." Her voice was full of panic and fear. She was now clinging to his arm for dear life, hoping to high heaven he could swim with both of their weight.

"Oh. Right." he said as he remembered they still needed to get to the shore. He swam steadily to shore until he could find a spot where he could stand, then continued to walk through the water until he finally got up on the shore. "Do you see anymore neoshadows?" he asked. "Quite a few of them popped up with that tailbunker. I'm not sure that we got them all."

"No... I don't. Th-thanks for saving me. I can't swim..." She said still shaking, not from cold, but from fear. Even now the Darkness tempted her heart. Fear slowly driving her to the edge. No, she could fight this. She had to fight this. Small whimpers escaped her throat with every breath. This wasn't an easy fight.

"Yeah. I could tell." Zack said, laughing a little. He finished scanning the area for neoshadows and yurned to face Kaylee. He immediately realized that something was wrong. "Are you ok?" he asked, a little concerned.

Kaylee didn't answer. She couldn't. Not being this close to the edge. Not this close to breaking. All she could do was shake her head. She hated being afraid. She hated this Darkness. Yet, the hate only made it worse. Darkness started becoming apparent around her, tears flowed steadily down her face. Not here. Not now. Not in front of her new friend. This was bad. Very... very bad.

"Oh right!" he said, realizing something. "You probably got a little injured in the battle." He pointed his keyblade at her and cast cure. "That's the best I can do right now," he added a little sheepishly. "My cure spells will improve someday."

Her body relaxed a little, but the darkness this came off of her in small, flame like waves. At least not she was starting to get it locked back up again. "It's ok." She finally managed to say, after finally regaining that much control. "Sorry about that. I though we were both screwed right then..."

Zack laughed. "C'mon. I trained myself how to fight a bit. Granted, not against anything like that, but still..." Zack suddenly couldn't think of anything to say. "Ok maybe we were a little screwed," he said, shaking his head and grinning. "But that's how people learn, right? I now know that I can use some more training."
