After they had hiked on the path for awhile, the gummi ship came in view. "There it is!" Zack said. "It took me awhile to work up enough money to buy the parts for it, but..." He looked around at the scenery. "It's already paid off." He then looked back at the ship. "And it's not done paying off either." He turned to face Kayee. "Well... are you ready? There's nothing you need to do first, right?" he asked.

"Nope! I can just send Alex a letter. You know, tell her where I'm at and where I am going. She worries sometines." Kaylee explained. "I don't have a home. I carry all I own with me. Alex doesn't know that though." She didn't realize that only she wouldn't find her ability to carry all she owned in her pocket to be a problem.

"No home?" Zack asked, just to clarify. "Kaylee, when friends worry about you, it means that they care for your well-being. I don't think Alex would want you to be homeless." He looked toward the ship. "If you prefer, you don't need to worry about that now, though. We are about to take off to explore other worlds, and who knows how long it will be before we come back." He looked back at Kaylee. "That being said, are you absolutely sure there's nothing you need to do here?"

"Yea- Oh! Wait! I'll be right back!" Kaylee yelled, taking off and disappearing into the trees.
She latter returned with a stuffed kitten that looked a little old. She had it held close to her, as if she didn't want anyone to touch it and a look of sadness on her face.

"Yes." She answered, holding it out in front of her. "My brother gave it to me just before he went to the Keyblade Academy. He told me... He told me to never change and never lose site of my light... Well, he uh... he like the rest my family gave in, though not on purpose. He had his heart taken and his body possessed because of his darkness... I miss Terra a lot. This... This is all I have left of the only member of my family who wasn't always drunk and abusive."

"Oh... I-I'm sorry," Zack stammered. He didn't mean to bring unpleasant thoughts back to Kaylee's mind. He opened the door of the gummi ship and climbed in.

She climbed in after him and smiled. "Don't be. Nothing you can do about it. Where are we going?" She asked cheerfully, her normal, radiant smile returning once more.

"Well, have you been to the Pride Lands yet? I've always wanted to go there, but if you've already been, we can go somewhere else." Kaylee suggested, wondering if he even knew what the Pride Lands were.

Kaylee gave a small chuckle before proceeding to give him the directions to their adventure. "Now I'll tell you... accourding to Alex this world alters your appearance. Be prepared."

Zack smiled. "That actually sounds pretty interesting." He turned back to the controls and started pulling some levers. The gummi ship rose off the ground and took off. "Surely it's not going to be that bad anyway," he added, grinning.
